Running from the 27th June to the 3rd of July, this year's Macular Week organised by The Macular Society aims to raise awareness of an eye condition relating to the macula - an important but very small area for seeing at the back of the eye. Here's Mac the Macula's poster. . . .he's only the size of a grain of rice!!
Did you know that pumpkins are good for your eyes and could protect them from macular degeneration?
Both the pumpkin flesh and seeds can be used after Halloween to use up your lantern. Don't just throw it away as it's so easy to make cakes, soup and delicious toasted savoury seeds. Love Food Hate Waste!
