Getting prescription lenses fitted

Moisture chamber glasses can be fitted with prescription lenses

Most of our glasses can be fitted with prescription lenses up to certain limits due to the frame shapes.

Care just needs to be taken to ensure the lenses do not interfere with the eye seal/cup.

7eye Airshield:
As these generally require a more curved lens, they can only accommodate lower powers: -4.00 to +4.00 with an opposite cyl up to 2.00 should be possible.

Ziena:
These have a flatter front so can accommodate a much broader range of powers: -8.00 to +8.00 with an opposite cyl up to 4.00 should be possible.

Speak with your optical practice

In the first instance we would recommend discussing this with your own local optical practice.

We can either supply you a frame to take into them, or better still ask them to contact us and we can supply them directly.

We are also starting to develop a list of stockists or optical practices who have already worked with us and so are familiar with the range.

Talk to our Rx partner

If your own local optical practice is unable to help, please contact a partner company we work with and discuss your requirements with them.

They will need to know:

  • Details of your full spectacle prescription
  • The type of lenses you want (single vision, varifocals, bifocals, tinted etc.)
  • Your PD (the distance between the centre of your eyes)
