AquaNocte 0.4% eye ointment
AquaNocte 0.4% eye ointment is a sterile, isotonic ophthalmic ointment specifically formulated to relieve the symptoms of dry eye and lagophthalmos, a condition in which the eyelids do not fully close during sleep.
Its ointment-based texture allows the formulation to remain on the ocular surface for an extended period, offering prolonged soothing protection throughout the night.
The key ingredient, sodium hyaluronate, forms a smooth, protective layer over the cornea, helping to maintain moisture and enhance ocular comfort. Sodium hyaluronate is composed of long sugar chains that spread evenly across the corneal surface, creating a structure capable of trapping and retaining water molecules. This ability enables it to hydrate, cushion, and shield the eye from dryness-related irritation.
