AquaVista Hypromellose 0.3% eye drops
AquaVista Hypromellose 0.3% eye drops are a preservative free, sterile ophthalmic solution with a physiological pH, formulated to provide effective relief from symptoms of moderate dry eye.
Their key ingredient, hypromellose, is a viscous polymer that functions as both a humectant and a lubricant. This means it attracts and retains moisture while forming a smooth, transparent protective film across the corneal surface, helping the eyes stay hydrated and comfortable.
By reinforcing the tear film, hypromellose helps reduce friction with each blink and provides soothing relief from common dry eye symptoms such as burning, itching, and the sensation of a foreign body. It is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing dryness due to prolonged screen use, infrequent blinking, or exposure to dry indoor environments like air conditioning or central heating.
Environmental factors such as wind, sunlight, smoke, and pollution can also contribute to ocular discomfort, and the hydrating action of hypromellose helps counteract these irritants by keeping the ocular surface protected and moisturised.
