Artelac Nighttime Gel is for those needing a little more relief for their dry eyes caused by chronic tear dysfunction, either during the day or at night.

It's also designed for those who have received a formal diagnosis of dry eyes caused by hyper-evaporative lipid-deficiency or eye lid dysfunction.

Artelac Nighttime Gel supports all three tear film layers. It's components work like natural tears to help strengthen and support the tear film by sealing in moisture for lasting relief.

Evaporative dry eye from chronic tear dysfunction can be caused by a number of factors:

  • Eyelid inflammation
  • Eyelid deformities
  • Blinking abnormalities
  • Meibomian gland dysfunction, in which the lipid layer produced is too thin and breaks down.

Remember that the lipid layer is critical to seal in the moisture that helps your eyes. Artelac Nighttime Gel contains:

  • Lipids (triglycerides) to support the lipid layer of the tear film
  • Sterilised water to moisturise for your comfort
  • Carbomer to bind moisture to eyes' surface for continued relief.

    Gels such as Artelac Nighttime generally last longer than eye drops.
    Hylo-Night is an ointment with a greasy formula similar to Vaseline.

    Eye dryness relief

    Have been suffering with dry eyes for more than fifteen years but since I discovered

    Artelac Nighttime eye gel I now lead a better life as the pain and dryness I used to get

    in the morning no longer exists. I still have to use the gel almost every night but not in the day

    time.

    Also very good

    So I have some very good drops but the better thing about the gel at night is that it doesn’t trickle out when you lay down and it helps to glue your eye shut. Great for me as I have one eye that doesn’t close well without help of either tape or patch.

    Lovely soothing gel

    Superior to the ointments I’ve experienced, where my eyes are sticky and blurry. These manage to coat the eye yet I can focus and the gel soothes my itchy sore dry eye. Will be buying more as I can stick to a nightly routine with this without getting anxiety with blurry vision as I did with ointments.
