DemEx is an effective foaming cleanser designed to improve general eye lid and lash hygiene which contains 4-terpineol (T4O) the active extract from tea-tree oil.

Developed by a UK based optometrist, DemEx consists of a synergistic blend of a number of plant-origin ingredients developed to be specifically effective against both:

  • Demodex Folliculorum (Blepharitis/lash follicle)
  • Demodex Brevis (Meibomian gland) conditions

This foaming cleanser contains the active ingredient, T40 (4-terpineol) which is derived from tea tree oil and is most effective against Demodex.

Massaged gently in by clean fingers, the DemEx cleanser removes harmful micro-organisms from the eyelids, the lash follicles, and eyebrows. It is then rinsed off.

With a pleasant, cool sensation DemEx has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties meaning that it can also be used as a soothing anti-bacterial face wash. .

    Too early to judge

    So far this works quite well to clean my sore eyes and lids twice daily, but it is too early to know if it will be a cure for whatever is causing my issues. One thing I don't like is that the lid fits quite tightly over the product, so I was struggling to get it off and the whole top section came with it, causing me to lose half of the liquid product on the floor.

    Hello Carolyn
    You can always update its effectiveness by clicking on 'Write A Review' at the top right of the Reviews section in a month or so.
    Sometimes the lids have loosened and come off in the post and leaked. A slight twist to remove it does seem to help.

    Cooling and calming

    I wear contacts and work in an office so get dry eyes and the occasional irritation. Since using the foam the gritty feeling has gone, and my eye lids and skin around my eyes is not dry or red. I keep a bottle in the shower and wash my eyes every night with it, and it’s now just part of my shower routine. I miss it when I run out so always buy two bottles.

    Wonderful

    Recommend by doctor due to 2 cysts in my eye, just my 2nd week, its a 8 week course, so far I can see a huge difference and again it does exactly as the description.
