Evaporative dry eyes are caused by an unstable or deficient lipid layer of the tear film (the top outer most layer) that affects almost 90% of dry eye patients. Despite this, only a small proportion of products address lipid layer issues.

EvoTears offer the unique lipid layer replacement benefits of perfluorohexyloctane.

This allows EvoTears to replace the function of the lipid layer, forming an outer shield over the surface of the tear film, reducing evaporation of the watery layer.

    I had high hopes based on the recommendation of my optometrix but

    I found it a bit greasy . That wasn't a show stopper but the fact I couldn't see any major improvement in my dry eye care makes me unsure if I will but it again.

    EVO TEARS

    This product has provided more relief than multiple OTC and prescription drops including PRGF. Ordering process was flawless, Royal Mail provided daily updates and the drops were delivered to my door exactly one week later in Canada.

    First time using these drops

    Im on my second bottle of Evo tears. Unfortunately I am not noticing any significant difference yet. I will continue using them with hopes of some relief with my dry eyes.

    Hello Debbie
    Thank you for purchasing and reviewing Evotears.
    I noticed they were recommended to you by the eye clinic.
    If after using the second bottle, there is still no improvement do let them know.

    They work differently to conventional eye drops by improving the lipid layer which affects 90% of dry eye cases.
    I have just studied the patient information leaflet in the box and without wishing to criticise your technique, may I check;

    • If you are applying a drop four times a day?

    • Is the bottle is being squeezed when upright, kept under pressure then upturned, air allowed in before the drop exits?

    The reason I ask is because it says the drops can be subject to a ‘loss of solution’ meaning a smaller or even no drop may be formed.
    Drops are not always felt when they enter the eye as they behave differently, the manufacturers Scope recommend using a mirror.
    Over time, the lipid layer and tear film thickness should improve, it could be, if the above steps are being followed, as you suggest, a bit more time is needed.

    Has become a must have for me
