A soft, washable eye mask that does not rely on a microwave but small disposable warming packs to release gentle warmth to the eyelids. Ideal for travel.

Invented by an ophthalmologist to improve the care of patients' eyes naturally, EyeGiene is an advanced solution for improved eye health.

The EyeGiene Insta-Warmth System combines a soft mask with disposable warm packs (contains 10 pairs of heat pads (20 pads in total)) for the application of localised heat therapy to the eyelids treating:

  • Dry eyes
  • Meibomian gland dysfunction
  • Blepharitis, stye, chalazia

The EyeGiene Insta-Warmth System utilises a unique source of heat, which rapidly produces warmth for up to 10 minutes. In addition to a relaxing sensation, the warmth is known to improve the flow of natural oils in the glands in the eyelids that are critical for normal eyelid and tear film function. It is portable, convenient, safe, comfortable and easy to use. It has several advantages over conventional eye masks:

  • Consistent heat
  • Consistent time of delivery
  • No need for a heating system (microwave or hot water)
  • Can be washed

Also available EyeGiene Refill Packs so you don't need to buy a new mask every time - just wash and re-use.

Please note: for those switching from a microwaveable compress you may feel that this mask is not as hot when you first put it on. This is because it heats to a more regular and consistent temperature throughout the period of use. Microwaveable compresses/masks loose heat quickly so typically start hotter because they cool over time.

    Purchased for use whilst travelling. Only used a couple of times so still need to adjust length of time to keep mask on.

    Could be better

    Using the headband to keep the eye pads in place means having it firm to save slippage. This means the pads are pressing more firmly on the eyes than I like.

    The 'use once, throw away' system is superior providing it can be relied on to heat to the correct temperature.

    Having said all the above, the very best one-use pads are the original MGD ones which were more padded and the heating element wires could not be felt. Sadly superceded and no longer available.
