Hydramed Night Sensitive is a lanolin-free lubricating ointment ideal for use at night to help relieve the symptoms of dry eyes.

Hydramed Night Sensitive combines liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin with vitamin A and EXCLUDING lanolin for enhanced comfort and the thicker nature of the product means that it can often protect the eye throughout the whole night.

Vitamin A is part of the natural tear film and as such is very well tolerated as a lubricant. Vitamin A is required for the normal growth, maintenance and maturation of corneal cells and is therefore effective as a treatment when applied topically.

    Too thick and blurs vision for a while.

    I have tried two similar ones to this one but it struggles to come out of the tiny tube because of its thickness and no matter how I have tried I cannot get into my eyes.

    Hello Audrey

    Thank you for your order.
    Unfortunately, all the eye ointments are thick and blurry until they melt with the warmth of the eye.

    They are made from paraffin waxes that are very lubricating but particularly in colder weather, take a while to melt.
    You could try warming the tube between your hands before applying.

    If you haven’t tried Xailin Night ointment, it comes in plastic tube which may be more malleable.

    Alternatively as you have tried two similar ones, a gel is easier to apply and lasts longer than a drop.

    Excellent realised I'm allergic to wool fat/lanolin. My eyes feel really great, hav tried so many eye ointment with no success. I really couldn't do without HydraMed night sensitive eye ointment. my eyes are so good now.
