MacuPrime PLUS

MacuPrime PLUS+ is an AREDS2 based formula and provides key eye health vitamins and minerals in addition to building the protective macular pigments.

In addition to the ingredients in MacuPrime (lutein (10mg) meso-zeaxanthin (10mg) and zeaxanthin (2mg), MacuPrime PLUS+ gives you additional vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and copper. Vitamin C and vitamin E contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and zinc helps maintain normal vision.

As we get older the macular pigments can wear down and become thinner. This reduces the protection our macula and retina have from oxidative stress and can lead to certain age-related conditions at the back of the eye.

The macula is a small, light-sensitive spot in the centre of the retina. It is responsible for almost 90% of our vision. The macula gives us all of our sharp detailed and coloured central vision that we rely on for activities such as driving, reading, writing and recognising faces.

Capsule shell (Gelling agent: Bovine gelatin, Humectant: Glycerin, Colours: Annatto, Purified Water), L-ascorbic acid, Antioxidant: d-Alpha tocopherol, Bulking Agent: Sunflower seed oil, Marigold Extract (Containing: Lutein, Meso-Zeaxanthin, Zeaxanthin), Zinc Oxide, Copper (II) Oxide, Thickener: Yellow Beeswax.
