Macushield Omega 3

Macushield Original has a sister, Macushield Original plus Omega 3, which contains all three carotenoids (lutein, zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin) plus omega 3 and vitamin B2 (riboflavin).

Developed in collaboration with leading eye experts, MacuShield products contain all three macular carotenoids; lutein (10mg), zeaxanthin (2mg) and meso-zeaxanthin (10mg). Research shows that the macular carotenoids - lutein, meso-zeaxanthin and zeaxanthin - are found at the back of the eye, in the macula. The macula is a sensitive part of the eye that is responsible for detailed, central vision. Here, the macular carotenoids form the macula pigment, which looks like a yellow spot at the back of the eye. The body can’t make macular carotenoids, so we have to consume them in our diet.

Macushield Original plus Omega 3 also contains vitamin B2 (riboflavin) and 250mg of DHA, the type of omega 3 fatty acid which has been scientifically proven to help maintain normal vision. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250mg of DHA – which is achieved in just one softgel capsule a day.

Suitable for vegetarians, the omega 3 comes from algal oil, a sustainable plant-based alternative to fish oil. No fishy aftertaste or marine impact, just a simple choice for you.
