Thealoz Duo Gel
Two natural eye lubricants, trehalose and sodium hyaluronate, are combined together in a thick gel as preservative-free single dose vials.
Consumer Leaflets
As in Thealoz Duo, this gel version contains both trehalose (as in Thealoz) and sodium hyaluronate (as in Hyabak) with added Carbomer to make the liquid gel formulation.
The thicker preservative-free, gel formulation can give longer lasting relief and is often preferred by people for night time use. It can be used in conjunction with any other eye drops to address different needs throughout the day.
Thealoz Duo Gel works by adding moisture to hydrate and lubricate the surface of the eye, as well protecting the cells of the cornea and conjunctiva, giving resistance to dryness. This makes it the perfect for choice for all dry eye sufferers.
The drops can be applied as often as necessary throughout the day.

Have tried several other eye drops but always come back to these as they give the greatest relief for my very dry eyes. Just wish the packaging used less plastic - would prefer a tube that I can dispense the drops from myself rather than the individual phials.

Thank you for your valued orders and custom.It is a good point regarding single-use plastic, Thealoz Duo has a unique formulation with trehalose and sodium hyaluronate.
These are both excellent for very dry eyes as they are newer 2nd and 3rd generation lubricants.I can see from your order history that you have tried a gel in a tube.
This contains carbomer which is a 1st generation lubricant for mild dry eyes.I have had a look at the options as we have some new gels in stock;
https://www.butterflies-eyecare.co.uk/collections/eye-gels-liquid-gelsThere are two gels in bottles that may allow you to reduce your use of the vials for some applications.
A 1st generation lubricant that is cross-linked to last longer and available in a bottle is VisuXL gel.
Another customer has left a review after successfully switching from Thealoz Duo gel for the same reason.Vismed Gel Multi drops have sodium hyaluronate 0.3% which is twice as much as Thealoz Duo but without the trehalose.
Here is more information on each the three generations of lubricants;

Thank you for leaving a review, I am sorry to read that your eyes are still watery.
As they were recommended in the pharmacy, I will email you to ask a few more questions to see how we can help.The reason I ask is at this time of year, it may be necessary to use frequent applications or add an oilier drop or ointment at times.

https://www.butterflies-eyecare.co.uk/pages/how-to-choose-eye-dropsWe have received great reviews for our dry eye glasses with a windshield to prevent overwatering.
We are happy to advise you further either by email or over the phone. - SBSandra B.Verified BuyerI recommend this productHow old are you? 60-69What eye health issues do you have? I have severe dry eyes due to systemic sclerosis. I use the Thealoz drops hourly for the morning along with this Thealoz gel at lunch time then I use the drops less often for the afternoon. This combination seems to work for me and it gets me through the day.
