Viscotears HA eye drops
For mild to moderate dry eyes, Viscotears HA contains 0.1% sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid or HA), a naturally occurring molecule found in abundance in the eyes.
Hyaluronic acid creates a protective, transparent film on the surface of the eye, moisturising and lubricating to decrease the symptoms of mild to moderate dry eye such as redness, burning, irritation and foreign-body sensation. These symptoms are often associated with contact lens wear, the use of computer or device screens, certain medical conditions and treatments, environmental factors such as air-conditioning or central heating and atmospheric pollution.
The special Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser (OSD) bottle ensures the contents remain free from contaminants without the need for preservatives. This means the product can be used for up to 6 months after first opening, potentially reducing waste.
In addition, the lack of preservatives means contact lens wearers can use either product without removing their lenses.
