Glaucomin high strength nicotinamide (B3) capsules
Glaucomin capsules are for daily use for people with early to moderate glaucoma. Glaucoma can lead to vision loss when the cells in the eye that help you see (called retinal ganglion cells) start to die.
The main risk factors for glaucoma are high eye pressure and older age.
Glaucomin are formulated in line with an ongoing trial designed to improve patient’s results using a new approach.
Instead of looking at lowering the eye pressure, increasing nicotinamide levels can boost energy production and oxygen consumption in retinal ganglion cells, extending their life and preventing any age-related increases in pressure from reducing vision. Interestingly, by testing nicotinamide levels, researchers hope to predict the risk of continued vision loss and prioritise who to monitor intensively and treat quickly.
Glaucomin is vitamin B3 in a form that is only nicotinamide. Vitamin B3 contributes to normal functioning of the nerves in your body.
At present, Glaucomin is the highest strength nicotinamide B3 product available in the UK market.
The recommended dose is one capsule containing 750mg every morning and evening.
Glaucomin capsules have been developed using guidance from clinical ophthalmologists working alongside a pharmaceutical company that specialises in eye health products. They are dedicated to enhancing patient well-being by reviewing cutting-edge research to expand into new product areas, treating conditions such as dry-eye, infections, inflammation, glaucoma and eye health nutrition.
Occasionally, Glaucomin may cause a mild stomach upset such as nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea. This may be prevented by taking each capsule with a meal.
It is not recommended for use by anyone with a cancer diagnosis in the last 5 years (except treated basal or squamous cell carcinomas), liver disease or stomach ulcers.
The capsules are suitable for vegan and vegetarians.

Thank you for purchasing and reviewing Glaucomin capsules.
As with all supplements, it make take 3-6 months for them to make a difference.
They were formulated by a team of ophthalmologists who had undertaken new research into glaucoma. They found that although many patients had raised eye pressure, only some of them developed glaucoma/visual symptoms.
The link they found that was patients with lower nicotinamide levels were more likely to develop it and have progressive symptoms. The capsules have a protective action that I appreciate is not immediately measurable although some retinal cells may show signs of recovery in time.

Thank you for leaving this feedback, I am sorry to read the capsule was difficult to swallow.
The high strength 750mg dose requires a larger capsule size of 23.30mm x 8.50mm.It is recommended to take them with water or fruit juice, try a few sips first to lubricate the mouth and throat.
Some capsules can be gently twisted, pulled apart and the contents taken on soft food such as yoghurt, honey or jam.
I hope you can continue to take them as the research into glaucoma is very positive. - AMAlan M.Verified BuyerHow old are you? 70-79What eye health issues do you have? I'm not sure how to review these tablets. I take them in the hope that my sight might last for longer than if I didn't take them. They are not the easiest tablets to take, being quite large.
