Translucent, lightweight, silicone eye shield with an adjustable microfibre strap. Can also be worn during the day for an immediate solution to dry eye problems.

The Quartz is a soft, flexible, hydrating mask made from medical grade silicone and will rest inside the orbital bones.

Fitted with an adjustable head wrap made of microfibre, it gently shelters eyes from draughts and low humidity environments. While you sleep or rest, the goggles fog up, creating a moisture rich environment perfect for relieving dry eye and related conditions. They can also be worn during the day for an immediate solution to your dry eye problems.

    Sleep shields unfortunately snapped in half.

    Comfortable to sleep in for the 3 weeks before they broke.Disapointed in the Poor quality and the money i invested in the shields.

    I can understand your disappointment.
    There is no easy way for manufacturers to make soft masks suitable for sleeping in that are also robust.
    It's worth holding the eyepieces on the eyes while removing or replacing the headstrap to avoid putting pressure on the nose strap.

    It’s worth considering the new Ocufresh 3D eye mask. I recently wore one on holiday and it was comfortable with contoured eye pieces and made from memory foam.

    Quartz Sleep Shields

    These seem to have a better seal for me than the eyeseals 4.0, (which have a gap between my cheeks and nose - I tried taping this shut but it was not comfortable), though perhaps the eyeseals are slightly more comfortable if less effective overall.

    I am still struggling to sleep through the night but I believe these help.

    I am very keen to try the blinkjoy hydrating sleep mask (particularly gen 2) and was informed this is the UK distributor, so would definitely purchase this if available.

    I am using these to try and prevent recurrent erosion.

    They haven't stopped me waking at night

    They're reasonably comfortable to sleep in, softish, and don't leave marks around eyes for more than half an hour. If you play around with the fit and follow their instructions carefully they do keep a moist environment around the eyes, but for me they don't keep the eyes themselves much moister. I still awaken several times at night to use eye drops and gel, because the eyes are so dry and sore. Slight improvement is all I have noticed and that may be placebo affect , i.e, at least I *feel* am doing something to improve the situation.

    I am sorry to read they haven’t really helped in terms of waking at night to apply lubricants.
    We exhibited the Sjogren’s UK conference and disturbed sleep was mentioned by many of the participants we spoke to.

    Our optometrist has written a few guides and as a pharmacist, I classify and recommend the drops and gels according to their ingredients.

    Our most common intervention is to increase the applications during the day of a sodium hyaluronate based drop/gel, add an ointment at night and increase omega oils intake through diet or a capsule.
    For moderate to severe dry eyes, our 7eye dry eye glasses are receiving excellent reviews.

    For dry eyes

    Bought these because I had an op on my eye & now my eyelid doesn’t currently close fully so quite sore in the morning, so I put eye drops in before bed & googles on, comfy to sleep in, and my eyelid is not sore and dry in the morning, , it’s so much better than the plastic clear patch they give you at the hospital to put on with micro pore .. would recommend

    Quartz sleep shields

    Very disappointed in product

    Bought to try and protect my eye after surgery for cancer. It no longer closes. Very cheaply made. 2 bits of rubbery stuff and bit of ribbon. It does not seal eye sockets. A waste of 40 pounds.

    It is tricky for manufacturers to make a robust shield that seals for everyone from soft materials suitable for sleeping in (medical grade silicone/microfibre strap).
